He discusses key concepts such as progressive revelation, the significance of faith in understanding scripture, and the criteria for determining the canon of the Bible, including authority, authorship, and authenticity. Focus is given to the significance of the original languages of the Bible (Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek) and their impact on interpretation. Bennett uses external evidence, such as archaeology, to confirm biblical accounts. He maps internal consistency and the uniqueness of the Bible to give weight to the Bible being a divine text, the Word of God.
Operating in God's Best
Barry Bennett outlines a comprehensive approach to Christian missions, emphasising the importance of spreading the gospel and equipping individuals for this purpose. It discusses God’s heart for the nations, the urgency of the mission, and the various roles and strategies involved in missionary work, including cross-cultural communication and lifestyle adaptation. The lessons highlight the need for personal and ministry support, the significance of understanding cultural differences, and the challenges missionaries may face, such as financial constraints and family dynamics. A key principle of this course is to ground all missionary efforts in scripture and the teachings of Jesus. Another is to understand that missions is not just a short-term effort but a long-term commitment to the spiritual and social well-being of communities.
Effective Counselling

The course also highlights the relationship between faith and outcomes, illustrating how Jesus’ ministry was characterised by healing, guidance, and the establishment of a spiritual kingdom that transcends worldly limitations. Relationship with God
Having a relationship with God involves recognising Him in every aspect of our lives. This applies to all areas, even those we consider mundane. God desires to provide clarity in everything, including the everyday ordinary. Why is that? When we have clarity in the mundane we have room for the manifestation of God’s purpose in our day.
In terms of our relationship with Jesus, the choice is ours. We can decide whether to acknowledge Jesus or to follow our own path. So, how do you make that choice? You determine it through your priorities.
