What to Do When Fear Knocks

Dec 6, 2021

Every year, potential Charis students either take a step of faith—or they don’t.

There are many ‘reasons’ for not taking that step. But could they actually be just fear?

When fear knocks, answer in faith!

When fear says, “I might not be able to get a job.”

Tell fear,

My God shall supply ALL your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus!

Philippians 4:19

When fear says, “What if it’s not God that gave me the desire to go to Bible College.”

First of all, as Andrew says,

The devil is not going to call you to sit under the Word of God 4 hours a day, 5 days a week!” And if you’re thinking, ‘Well maybe it’s just me and not God,’ tell that fear:

“Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.” —Psalm. 37:4-5

When God gives you the desires of your heart, it doesn’t just mean He will give you what you want. It means He will actually place His desires in your heart. Not only that, if you commit your way to Him and trust Him, He will bring it to pass.

Take that fear!

Erin and Anna answered with faith:

I was accepted to Charis in the spring and due to attend in the fall semester. I immediately began looking for living and job arrangements, and continued my search all summer. Some doors slightly opened, and I could’ve stepped through, but I knew God was telling me to wait for His best. With one week before I needed to move, finally, the door I’d been waiting for opened without any effort on my part.

Now at Charis, God has provided more than enough finances each month, divine appointments, supernatural favor, and a deeper revelation of God’s love daily!

I’ve gotten set free from fear, anxiety, and curses that we’re spoken over me some 20 years ago by my mom. Coming to Charis has been one of the most valuable things I’ve done in my life. God has showed up in so many areas for me since I started school. One is: I was given a free van from some dear friends to go to school. God is so good! He has supplied all our needs.

Grace and Faith – The Balance

In this insightful teaching, Andrew Wommack discusses the crucial balance between grace and faith in salvation, explaining that while grace signifies God’s unconditional favour and offers salvation to everyone, it is faith that enables individuals to receive this gift, highlighting that grace alone is not enough and an active faith is necessary to access what God has provided.
