God’s Love – The Source of Life
In the exploration of God’s divine love, Barry Bennett invites readers to contemplate the profound significance of God’s love, the source of life in our lives. Through engaging reflections and insightful scriptural references, he delves into the essence of what it means to experience true love from a Biblical perspective. Bennett’s message resonates with those seeking deeper connections and a transformative understanding of their relationship with the Creator. As he navigates themes of faith, freedom, and the nature of God’s divine affection, readers are encouraged to awaken to the fullness of God’s love.
Understanding God’s love, the source of life
Understanding the distinctions of the divine love of God is important for Christian living. When we discuss the love of God, people form different impressions of its meaning. Many of us approach this subject through the lens of human love, which serves as a poor indicator of God’s love. Human love fluctuates; as most people recognise, it depends on circumstances and feelings. In the realm of human love, conditions must be just right, and if they aren’t, individuals may feel love diminish. Factors such as hormones and age influence human love, introducing many variables. However, when we explore God’s love, the source of life, we enter a different dimension entirely.
Essence of God’s nature as love – the source of life
God’s love is a spiritual force. We could say God’s love actually is God Himself. The scriptures declare that God is love. God’s love actually is the source of your life. I want to start with 1 John 4:16, which says,
And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
Now, probably you’ve heard this scripture; it is such a powerful scripture, which emphasises that God is not merely loving; He is love itself. This distinction proves crucial because God is the Creator of all things. This distinction proves crucial because God is the Creator of all things.
God’s Love Drawing Us Towards Fellowship
God’s love is impacting us; it is drawing us. We could say, in one sense, there’s like an eternity in us. It says in one place [Ecclesiastes 3:11] there’s eternity in our hearts. We are being drawn to God by His love, by His goodness. Love made you because love wants you to love Him back. You possess the choice and free will to respond. The desire in God’s heart moves Him to invite you into an intimate fellowship and relationship with Him.
How does He achieve this? By love leading you to the awareness of the goodness of things around you. The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord [Psalm 33:5], and that’s the love of God manifested. The idea is that you be drawn toward Him. The love of God wants to set you free. The love of God wants to draw you back into fellowship with Him.
Invitation to Embrace God’s Love, the Source of Life
Praise God! That is love! When we say that God is love, we speak of His very essence, nature, and expression. Everything about God embodies love, a love that desires to forgive you and give you His life. You might already be born again, yet you may not fully tap into His life due to feelings of guilt or self-condemnation. But remember, you can change right now and once again receive that love. This is the message I proclaim today.
May the Lord awaken you to His love! May He guide your hearts into the depths of His love, for that love serves as the source of your life. God’s love fuels true life; there is no real existence outside of it, as His love gives life. God’s love, the source of life, sets you free from the burdens of unforgiveness and bitterness, allowing you to live in joy and peace. Remember, God desires an intimate fellowship with you, and through His love, you can move through the complexities of life with grace. That’s where the joy of the Lord comes alive, and you have peace, and you’re able to navigate life with people.
People can be a mess sometimes, but you can love them anyway. You can forgive, and you can listen. This is the love of God we discuss here. Oh, praise God. This has blessed me by sharing it. I hope it’s blessing you to hear it!
