CHARIS MINUTES
Does God Have Plans For Me?
In this Charis Minute, Andrew Wommack gives an encouraging message to dispel any of the doubts about God’s intentional involvement in their lives. Andrew draws from the Psalms to highlight God’s intentionality towards creating you. This article should help answer the question, ‘Does God have plans for me?’ Andrew Wommack is an instructor for Charis Bible College Australia and the founder of Charis Bible College.
Does God have plans for me?
You know, every one of us has a purpose in life. God’s never made a piece of junk. Nobody happened without God knowing about it. According to Psalms 139, verse 16, it says, while you were still in your mother’s womb, God had written in a book what every day of your life should be like. That is phenomenal and worth meditating on.
Does God have plans for me before I am born?
God doesn’t just look around and find somebody and think, “I guess I’ll use you…”. While you were still in your mother’s womb, before you had ever done anything, before you had any talents or abilities, God had already written out His plan for your life. Now this plan of His doesn’t sovereignly come to pass. You have complete choice whether or not you follow God’s leading in your life.
Does God have plans for me before I am born?
In Deuteronomy chapter 30, verse 19, it says,
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
He gave you the choice, but He has a blessing, a plan for your life for every day of your life. Most of us have a hard time embracing that and understanding that God is desiring to be intimately involved in our life. You know, you may have had a school teacher, a parent, a sibling, an ex mate or someone that just trashed you in life. You may look at things and think, boy, I’m nothing and things don’t work, but God never made anybody to be average.
Does God have plans for you? Absolutely, every one of you has something special planned for you. Now, you may not have experienced it, but the Bible says in Romans 11:29
For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
So whether you’ve experienced God’s best or not, God’s plans for you are still in place. No matter how bad you mess up, God never changes his mind about you. Your relationship with Him is like a GPS system. If you make a wrong turn the GPS doesn’t give up, it just recalculates. Similarly, if you mess up, God will figure another way for you to get to where you need to go.
