The purpose of fasting is to discipline the flesh and bring it into obedience so that you don’t become a slave to your wants and desires. If fasting increased healing, that would make healing dependent on your works, which it isn’t—Jesus has already provided healing for you. In believing for healing, fasting will help you overcome your natural unbelief because it brings your flesh into alignment with your spirit.
